Canberra Region Rugby League have implemented a very deliberate and strategic approach to grow the game and engage more females at all levels. In 2017 the results became obvious, with significant growth in the number of female teams and participants, changes in governance and improved initiatives to support female player profile and development. The activities reflect a cultural shift in local rugby league, making the game a more attractive option for female participants than ever before.
