Kelsey-Lee Barber

Three years after becoming the only women from the Southern hemisphere to achieve a javelin world championship gold, 30 year old Kelsey-Lee Barber rewrote the history books in July 2022 when she successfully defended her title at the world athletics championships in Oregon USA. She became the first ever back to back women’s World Champion.

A little over two weeks later in Birmingham, Kelsey completed her trio of Commonwealth Games medals with a stunning final throw pipping her Australian team mate for the gold.

She is an Olympic Medallist, two times World Champion, Commonwealth Games Champion, Diamond League event winner and former world number 1 (current world number 2). Her personal best throw of 67.70m places her 14th on the world all time list.
