Kevin Watt became involved with archery in 2001 with his family and has continued his involvement with the Tuggeranong Archery Club (TAC) serving in the roles of President, Treasurer, Coach and Judge. He is a staunch ambassador for the sport, obtaining the Licenses and ACT Government funding for the construction of the Tuggeranong Multi-Use Sport Facility. He remains heavily involved with the maintenance and managing the finances of the facility. Kevin is the prime example of what facilitating participation in sport can offer. Giving your best and enjoying the challenge is his motto. Kevin is always available to provide encouragement, technical guidance and support to archers of all ages and skill levels, including the seven archers with a disability who are members of TAC. Kevin’s management skills can be seen with the AIS Junior development program, as President, Treasurer and managing the maintenance program for the Multi-Use Sport Facility. He has been instrumental in the Archery club being selected to run the 2012 and 2013 National competitions, the 2017 and 2018 Para and Vision Impaired Archer Championships and the 2017 and 2018 Field Nationals. Kevin’s complete dedication to the furtherance of the sport as a safe, inclusive and affordable family activity continues today. Kevin has been shown to be the go to man for everyone who comes to the club. His knowledge, advice, support and encouragement is available to all.
