The Canberra Region Wheelchair Rugby League program was established to provide the opportunity for individuals, families and communities to participate in their game together, regardless of whether they are regular wheelchair users. Within the past 12-months, they have developed regular weekly training sessions and sparked interest in their all-inclusive game in Wagga Wagga, Riverina, Albury/Wodonga and Nowra. Canberra Region Wheelchair Rugby League’s focus is to give people in the ACT and regional NSW the opportunity to be involved in an adaptative sport, and to continue to create further pathways beyond this, including various representative opportunities.
