Jade Melbourne

Making her WNBL debut with the Canberra Capitals in late 2020, Jade Melbourne’s rookie season was a sensation. Injuries created extra early opportunity and she grabbed it, averaging 8.3 points per game and shooting at an impressive 44%, highlighted by 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in a match against the eventual Champions, the Southside Flyers. Jade later captained the Australian U19 Women’s basketball team to a Silver Medal in the U19 World Cup in Hungary, losing to the USA in the finals. She earned a spot in the All-Star Five for the tournament, acknowledging her as one of the finest junior basketball talents in the world.
