ActewAGL ACT Sport Hall of Fame
Our partnership with the Hall of Fame spans more than 20 years. It has enabled sports people and administrators from our region to be recognised for excellence in their field and it’s been a privilege to be there since it all began in 1995.
Just over 100 years ago, the Kingston Powerhouse was commissioned to switch on our city’s lights. With its iconic smoke stack and whistle, it was Canberra’s first permanent building.
So much has changed as our city has grown and evolved. However our commitment to supplying the most reliable gas and electricity services, and being embedded in the community, remains absolutely steadfast.
We’re proud to have the most reliable electricity network in the country and to be offering our customers in the ACT the cheapest electricity prices in Australia. We employ almost 800 local people and we’ve built a vibrant community sponsorship program.
Fostering the development and growth of sport in the ACT, from juniors and pathway programs, through to professional teams, is a vision ActewAGL shares. We acknowledge the important role of sport in bringing the community together and contributing to individual and community wellbeing.
Each year the ActewAGL ACT Sport Hall of Fame inducts a select group of sports people, who have shown a great degree of dedication and professionalism and who have made valuable contributions to the ACT sporting community.
I offer my personal congratulations to the ActewAGL ACT Sport Hall of Fame inductees and look forward to continuing our partnership with the ACT Sport Hall of Fame and the CBR Sport Awards.
