Adam Jeffery

Adam has had a long and successful career in lawn bowls, having captained and represented the ACT, NSW and Australia numerous times. Overall Adam has represented the ACT on more than 180 occasions; NSW on 77 occasions and holds 156 Caps for Australia.

Adam’s representative career started in 1992 when he was chosen to represent Australia in the under 25’s team in the first ever international competition against New Zealand. He was then selected in every team from 1992 to 1996 and toured Hong Kong, Malaysia and South Africa.

In 1996, Adam joined the Australian Senior Squad, and represented Australia at the 1996 World Indoor Championships in England, and again in
2002. Adam won the International Singles title at the Hong Kong International an unprecedented three times (1997, 1998 and 1999).

In 1999 Adam was selected for the Asia Pacific Team, and won gold in the Triples and Fours in Malaysia. Adam won two more gold medals in 2001 when he played in the Asia Pacific Championships.

In 2000 Adam was chosen in the World Bowls Team, and won a silver medal in the Triples and gold for the overall team. Adam was awarded the Australian Sports Medal in 2000.

At national level Adam has won two Australian Super singles titles (1997 and
1998) and the prestigious Gold Nugget Invitation Singles in 1999, while being Runner up in 2001.

Adam also won the South Pacific Singles in 1995, was runner up in the Australian Indoor Singles in 1995 and Runner up in the Australian Pairs in 1997.

Adam has won 14 ACT titles, 15 Club Championships and been a member of seven successful ACT Number 1 Pennant teams.
