Canberra Heat Volleyball Club is the longest serving club in the Australian Volleyball League and for the second time in Canberra Heat’s history the locals took out the 2015 AVL Championship. Whilst the 2016 season is still in play, Canberra Heat are currently sitting second on the ladder against their arch nemesis the Queensland Pirates who they defeated in 2015 to take the honours. Canberra Heat Men and Women represent the capital region in the Men’s and Women’s Australian Volleyball Leagues. The Canberra Heat has been a flagship HP Volleyball team in the ACT area for the past eight years. Through the club’s emphasis on the importance grow and nurture the local talent they have been a team to watch out for over the past five years and look to continue this level of excellence, not only in the 2016 season, but well into the future.
