Previous CBR Sport Awards finalist, aerial skier Laura Peel enjoyed another stellar season on the slopes in 2020. The dual Olympian became the first Australian since Lydia Lassila in 2009 to win skiing’s Crystal Globe, crowned the overall champ of the aerial season after claiming her second gold in Russia in March and taking the world’s number 1 ranking. With a strong gymnastic background, Laura continues to encourage and mentor other potential champions through the Australian Aerial Skiing Development Program, which is where she started the sport.
