Louise Ellery

Louise first took up athletics to help her recovery and rehabilitation post car accident and would throw narrowly missing her toes. Since then, and with over 14 years in competition under her belt, Louise continues to be a driven, motivational and highly successful international athlete, representing Australia in eight international teams, including four Paralympic teams. In 2016 she won her third Bronze Medal in the F32 seated shot put.   Louise also achieved a Bronze medal F32 seated shot put at IPC World Athletics Championships late 2015.  Louise is currently ranked fourth in the world.  Louise continues to be one ACT’s top para athletes and is currently the only ACT seated thrower. She competes regularly at ACT competitions aiming to not only to improve her own distances but to inspire other athletes to aspire to compete in the event. Louise is well loved on and off the track and is an inspiration to all athletes though her sheer drive and determination to succeed and through her hard work at the local athletics club.
