The Brumbies won the Super Rugby AU championship in 2020, having endured arguably the most difficult season in the club’s history. Before COVID shutdown Super Rugby, the Brumbies were in second place with a game in hand, having won five of their six games. When the competition was restructured to address the challenges presented by the pandemic, the Brumbies pick up where they left off to finish first in the Super Rugby AU standings. Having secured a home Grand Final, they went on to defeat a valiant Queensland Reds, 28-23. The Brumbies had the largest representation in the Wallabies with 14 players named in the national squad.
